Product Redelivery

 

There are a few reasons why you would need your product redelivered. The most common are
failed delivery or inventory loss. But for whatever reason you wish to get your product redelivered the
procedure is the same.

You need to find the transaction history from the purchase. If you bought it in-world you will be able to
locate the item here:

If you bought it on the marketplace however then it can be found here:
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/orders

The transaction history works as proof of purchase, just like a real life receipt.
Sadly, if you can not locate the transaction history then I can not redeliver the product to you :(

Just copy and paste the text (which includes product, date, ID/prefix, price, etc) into an IM to Sabina Gully (please no notecards).
Your item should be delivered to you within 24h. I am extremely sorry if the delay is longer.
It should be much less than 24h but sometimes there is just too much to do.

Refund policy and accidental purchases

 

Everything sold at Magika come with “No Transfer” permissions. This means every purchase is final.
Please be careful while shopping if you tend to lag, since this is when accidental purchases usually happen.
Also, always try the demos provided. However, all double purchases get refunded. Just follow the guide under
“product redelivery” to locate the transactions. Only difference is you need to locate the transactions from
both purchases.

HUD problems

 

There are three known problems with the HUD. But the good news is that all of them can easily be fixed.
Here are both the problems and the solutions:

Problem: You can’t see the HUD when you attach it
Solution: This usually happens when you have tried attaching it to another HUD attachment point.

  • Right click the HUD in your inventory and attach it to the Top Left HUD attachment point.
  • If you still don’t see it, press Ctrl+Alt+T and it should show up in red on your screen.
  • Right click the HUD on your screen and select Edit. Now your Edit tools box should appear.
  • Select “Rotate” in the edit tool box then go to the “Object” tab.
  • Under the Object tab, at the bottom left you will see the “Rotation (degrees)” then the values for X, Y and Z.
    These are the values we are going to change to make your HUD show properly.
  • Chance the values to X: 0.00, Y: 0.00, Z: 270.00. Your HUD should now show properly and is ready for use.

To avoid this problem always select Wear or Add when attach the hud, do not attach to another
attachment point than intended!

 

Problem: You only see “Rotate me” on your screen when you wear your HUD
Solution: This usually happens when you have tried attaching it to another HUD attachment point.

  • Right click the HUD in your inventory and attach it to the Top Left HUD attachment point.
  • Right click the “Rotate me” text on your screen and select Edit. Now your Edit tools box should appear.
  • Select “Rotate” in the edit tool box then go to the “Object” tab.
  • Under the Object tab, at the bottom left you will see the “Rotation (degrees)” then the values for X, Y and Z.
    These are the values we are going to change to make your HUD show properly.
  • Chance the values to X: 0.00, Y: 0.00, Z: 270.00. Your HUD should now show properly and is ready for use.

Problem: Nothing happens when you click on the HUD
Solution: First off, make sure you are in an allowed scripts area and is wearing the right HUD for the right hair.
Also try double clicking a hair color, sometimes the HUD doesn’t connect with the hair on the first click.
If it still isn’t working, try resetting the scripts in the HUD (see how below).

 

Problem: The HUD gave you an error message and now stopped working
Solution: Sometimes the HUD and the hair can connect incorrectly. Usually the HUD works after
reattaching both hair and HUD, or after a teleport. If this doesn’t help you can try resetting the scripts
in both HUD and hair (see how below).

 

Resetting the scripts: First off, attach the item you need to reset. Right click it and select “Edit” on the item.
Now your item should be highlighted in blue and/or yellow and the edit box should have appeared.
This means that your item is selected and ready to be reset. If you are using the standard
SecondLife® viewer you should see a menu at the top of your viewer named Build. Build > Scripts > Reset Scripts.

Droping/rezing older hairstyles

 

In all the previous hair collections from Magika there is an “antirez” script. This script shouts a scary
message at you and deleted the hair once it is being rezed. The good news is that it can not be found in
any new products. The other good news is that the script can be disabled and you CAN rez the old hair.
Just follow these steps:

  • Right click and edit your hair on your avatar.
  • Go to the Build menu at the top of your viewer.
  • Go to Scripts under the Build menu and select “Set Scripts to Not Running”.

Now you should be able to rez your hair like normally.

How to fix bald spots

 

Mesh hair:

Rigged mesh can not be resized or repositioned. If it doesn’t fit you, then do not purchase it
unless you are willing to adjust your shape. You can try out the demos for free.

 

Sculpted hair:

This guide is guaranteed to help you with your bald spots.
Please follow the troubleshoot from the start and work your way down. At some point the bald spots will be gone.

Bald spots occurs for one of two reasons:
1. The hair is to small or need slight adjustments

If you see the bald spots no matter how much to you zoom in then you need to adjust the hair to fit your head.
There are two ways to do this. If you think the hairstyle is just too small then you can use the
Resizer on your HUD to change the size quickly. But sometimes the style is a perfect size and still show some scalp.
This means you need to use the secondlife™ Edit tools to adjust individual prims.
For anyone who is newer to secondlife™ this can be a bit hard to do. So i put together a little
guide to learn how to use the Edit tools which can be found at the bottom of the page.

2. The sculpted prims collapse from a distance (if you don’t see the bald spots up close
but they appear when you zoom out)

If the hair fits you perfectly when you zoom in but collapse or show bald spots when you zoom out,
then there is a few settings you need to change.
These settings will not create any significant amount of lag but will improve your graphics a lot!

Lets start by making sure your Object mesh is turned up:

Press Ctrl + P to open your Preferences, then go to the Graphics tab.
Click the Advanced button if you don’t already have a ton of options under Graphics
Under “Mesh detail” you will find Objects. Pull that all the way up to high.
Click apply.

Your bald spots might be gone at this point. If not, continue reading.

Now we can make sure your sculpt rendering settings are correct:

Lets start by adding the Advanced menu to your top tool bar. Press Ctrl+Alt+D.
Under the Advanced menu you will find “Show Debug Settings”.
Type “rendermaxNodeSize” at the top of the Debug Settings window.
Change the numbers at the bottom to “8192″ (It might be this already).
Now change the “rendermaxNodeSize” to “rendervolumeLODFactor”.
Change the numbers at the bottom to “4.000″.

By now your bald spots should be gone. If not, please use the edit tools to do some final adjustments

 

How to use the edit tools:

IMPORTANT: Always make a backup before doing this.

Start by right clicking your hair while wearing it and click “Edit”, a separate box will appear with all the
modification tools and options. In the Edit Tools window you will see options such as Position, Stretch, Rotate.
They do exactly what you think they do. Just check each box to try them out. If you want to edit individual
prims in your hair just check the “Edit linked parts” box. Now you can click each individual prim and use
the same tools modification tools as you can on the entire hair.
Remember: Always make sure the “Stretch Textures” box is checked. Otherwise it can get really messy.

Hair loading incorrectly, or not at all

 

This would be referring to the newer hairstyles that are made out of mesh.
There is a common bug right now that disables meshes from loading correctly or not at all. This is a very
annoying bug, but the good news is that a simple relog will fix it for you.
If that does not help then clearing your cashe might. You do that by opening your preferences (ctrl + P),
going to the “Advanced” tab and clicking “Clear Cashe”, then relog.

I found something stolen, what should I do?

 

I would always love if you let me know. There is some information I need in order to report them though.
If you see someone wearing something stolen of mine then I will need the exact name of the object, the
creators name, and the name of the person wearing the item.  It would also be greatly appreciated if you take
a snapshot of the person wearing the hair.

If you find someone selling stolen content then I will need the location of the item. For example the
marketplace URL or the inworld SLURL.

If you find someone handing out full permission copies of my items then I will need the items, and the name of
the person handing them out.

Please try to avoid letting the offender know that you will be reporting them to me.

Just leave an IM to Sabina Gully to notify me about this.

Most of Magikas older hairstyles have been discontinued. If it is not in the store/on the marketplace then it is not for sale. I am very sorry!
